Diaper bags can be angelic

Breastfeeding IS best

Undoubtedly breastfeeding IS the best money can't buy. As a firm believer and supporter of "breast is best" i had no doubt in my mind that breastfeeding baby no.4 would be a piece of cake, after all i am an "expert"! Guess what? Its been a nightmare, just doesn't seem to be going smoothly this time round. Between cracked nipples and bad mastitis, twice, i have come close to giving up but i am giving myself another chance. Sometimes i feel its ironic that all magazines, books and brochures portray such a perfect image of breastfeeding. Its not always a bed of roses, for anyone out there going through a bad time, it does get better, eventually! Some ideas that might help are: nipple shields (found mothercare ones to be the best), Medela nipple cream (amazing stuff), hot waterbottles and hot baths. Good luck xxx

Birthday parties....

Birthday parties,theme selection,party favors,party outfits.....they never stop

Mums don't have the energy,the imagination and the time to spend hours in the shops to choose the right party favor and taste every cake in the market and arrange the perfect party! WAIT!Nothing is as bad as it seems,you just need to be organized.

So let's get things started.

•Who will be invited?Invitation should be handed out and SMS should be sent.
•Catering selection if at home,menu selection if not at home.
•Theme selection-cakes,party favors,outfit if needed,any special decoration
•Entertainment for kids

Now application of the above!

My sister had her kids birthday party last weekend.
The party was at her house
Theme was APOEL champions league and Micky mouse.
Grandmothers made some homemade goodies.
We ordered the rest of the things from Pandora bakery :nuggets,mini burgers and real potato ships for the kids,sandwiches in mini rolls,quiche,savory,and mini lava cakes (my rating was 10/10 for them) for the adults.

Dj Andreas Lambrou was responsible for the entertainment of the kids and he did a wonderful job.

Now the the birthday cakes! The Micky mouse one was a chocolate fudge cake and the round Apoel cake was a red velvet cake.Both were delicious made by my friend Vanja Radivojevic-Savva http://www.emmaslunch.com

And of course the "football"cake pops -party favors, which idea by the way I found great and the kids loved the idea of getting a personalized treat on their way out.Vanja made these as well.


As simple as that and with no much effort the kids had a wonderful birthday party.
